1. Spiritual and Religious Sites
The Shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (R.):
Hazrat Shahjalal (R.) was a renowned Sufi saint in the Indian sub-continent who spread the teachings of Islam in Sylhet. Alongside 360 companions, he arrived in Sylhet after learning about the persecution faced by the first Muslim, Gaji Burhan Uddin (R.), at the hands of the ruler, Gourgobindha. This historical incident has led to Sylhet being referred to as the "City of 360-Saints." Besides this, people call Sylhet the 'Holy City'. Hazrat Shahjalal (R.) came in Sylhet in 1303 AD.
How to go/to reach the shrine:
You can easily travel from the Kodomtoli Bus Stand or Sylhet Railway Station. The transportation fare, approximately Tk. 80-100, can be covered by using a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw.
The Shrine of Hazrat Shahporan (R.)
The Shrine of Hazrat Shahporan (R.) is located in Khadimpara, Sylhet. At the top of a beautiful hill that is 8 kilometers east from Sylhet Town and 1 kilometer away from the Sylhet-Tamabil road, the shrine and its mosque are situated to the east of each other. According to historical records, Hazrat Shahporan (R.)'S ancestors were natives of Bokhara city in Afghanistan. It is said that he is the nephew of Hazrat Shahporan (R.). When Hazrat Shahjalal (R.) arrived in Sylhet, he was accompanied by Hazrat Shahporan (R.). Under the guidance of Hazrat Shahjalal (R.), Hazrat Shahporan (R.) began spreading the message of Islam in Khadimnagar. Tragically, his father died when he was only 11 years old.

You can easily go to the Shrine of Hazrat Shahporan (R.) through a CNG Auto-Rickshaw. The fare will be between 100-150 Tk.
